Daishohou

A powerful and imposing rikishi whose imposing frame made him a true force on the dohyo. Daishohou excelled at securing a deep right-hand inside grip before driving opponents backward with relentless forward pressure, reaching a career-high rank of maegashira 9 and competing with heart and determination in the top division. A legacy of strength, technical skill in yotsu sumo and the fighting spirit of a warrior.

A showman who loves his fans — power, ferocity and speed.

A spirited and hard-hitting rikishi who brought energy to every match. His aggressive style and never-give-up attitude earned him respect — a warrior who fought with heart, pride and an unmistakable love for sumo.
